Six Pack Abs Success Formula

By Jose Loni

Doing exercises for six-pack abs are important to maintain strength and definition but we need to also take into consideration other factors like eating correctly, resistance training and increasing our metabolism.

In order to have six pack abs, we need to decrease our body fat levels so that our underlying abs become visible. To do this we need to kick-start our bodies by eating and training in a manner that will all contribute to the overall process of lowering body fat.

Here are some simple exercises that will train the overall strength of the whole body as well as develop the core abdominal muscles of our six-pack.

We also need to make sure we don't go hungry, if we allow our bodies to go into a starvation mode, our blood sugar levels will go up and down and affect our body's fat burning capacity.

Exercises: Do overall multi-joint exercises such as: squats, chin-ups, lunges, rows, split-squats, step-ups and deadlifts. Do 3 sets of 8 repetitions for each exercise. Stability ball sit-ups and bridging can be incorporated into the program as well, to strengthen and tone the core muscles as well as train the body in a different way (as opposed to traditional weight training).

Multi-joint resistance training has been shown to not only help sculpt and lower overall body fat, but by training at lower repetitions of 8, the body reacts by increasing metabolic rates in the body. When this occurs, there is increased fat burning resulting in the consequent appearance of six pack abs. Training our abs is also beneficial in strengthening and defining the six pack, especially when the outer layer of fat is reduced and the six-pack abs become more visible.

The increased lean body mass and development of muscles as a result of resistance training also affects the overall metabolism of the body and there is increased body fat metabolism occurring well after the exercise activity is done. Our bodies will become more and more proficient at fat burning thereby allowing for our six-pack abs to show through.

Six-pack ab exercises are simple and easy to follow in conjunction with watching what we eat, resistance training and increasing our metabolism. Knowing how to coordinate these factors will really help achieve our six-pack abs. - 15255
