Which Wrinkle Cream Should You Use?

By Julie Samtsonn

So what choices do you have when it comes to a wrinkle cream that will be effective against those fine lines of old age? It is important to know that not every wrinkle cream is the same and not to be confused by all the different recommendations you will encounter. Ingredients vary with each type of cream. The main ingredients are Aloe Vera, collagen and elastin, and anti toxins.

You will find that the best wrinkle creams will contain substances that will lessen wrinkles but be aware that they will work differently for various skin types. For instance you will see that different types of skin will be less susceptible to wrinkles than others. This can be due to genetics. Have you noticed your parents? One of them may look younger than their age. You can always hope that you will inherit these genes.

Those first tell tale little lines are the worst problem. This is just the beginning of the aging process. People obviously do not want to think about them as they do not want to admit to being old. However after a while they realize the inevitable and start to panic. This is when they start to hunt feverishly for a wrinkle cream.

Customer feedback is one of the best ways to discover if a product really works. In fact this positive feedback is a great promotion for wrinkle creams. Reading reviews is another surefire way to see if a product really performs well. Because they are written by real customers who have had experience with the product, these reviews will help you to see if a wrinkle cream does not do what it says it will do.

When you read the reviews and see what other customers have to say about a product, you are not going to choose the product to use because they say it will make you look 20 years younger. You want the product to take away some of the wrinkles and you want to a look in the mirror without wondering who that is staring back. When you find the right anti-wrinkle cream for your needs it will make the lines and wrinkles appear to be less noticeable.

However do not expect instant results. Even the most effective anti wrinkle cream will take at least 2 weeks. In fact some can take as long as 6 weeks to take effect. So do not abandon a cream because you are not seeing speedy results. Give it time to work and do not lose hope.

A common fallacy is that the more you pay the better the anti wrinkle cream will be. This is a myth. There is no evidence that you need to pay a large amount to get a reliable product. Using the product is the only way to really know whether it will work well for you.

One of the best ways to cut through the confusion is to take your dermatologist's advice. He will be able to advise you as to which product matches your skin type.
