The Truth Behind Getting Rid of Love Handles

By Ted Stetson

How to get rid of your love handles the safe and effective way. The one area that food goes to and turns into fat (whatever you are not burning up), is your mid-section, thus the love handles, especially with low exercise and/or bad diet.

The simple fact is, diet & exercise need to play a role in getting rid of your love handles. The question is, what it is that you need to do exactly in the way of exercise and diet to lose the love handles. Many of us have different thresholds before we say, enough is enough of these darn love handles, they must go. What amount of flabby love handles you are going to allow to flop over the top of your pants or briefs, another person wouldn't even allow it that far. Bottom line, it is not only unattractive, it can many times be very unhealthy as well.

So, how do you fix your love handle problem? Perhaps you could think about skipping that 4 hour couch marathon this weekend and go for a walk instead. Perhaps you could watch what you eat a little more. Understand, losing weight is going to take a bit of work. Good luck if you are seeking that magic pill.

People tend to make diet & exercise programs too complicated. If you want to lose all or a portion of your love handles and other unwanted weight, do it through simple, consistent, honest diet & exercise, period. It seems the word, exercise scares people off when that really shouldn't be the case. You don't need to spend four hours at the gym every day. Instead, determine what works for you and adjust things as you go. You may be surprised at what one hour a day consistent exercise can do for your love handles.

Get started, follow through and stay focused until it is part of each day. You can definitely succeed with your weight loss goals with minimal effort as long as you have a plan to begin with and stick to it. The key is consistency and don't go too quickly. If you go too fast, your body could reject that, causing you to quit.

The reason a lot of people fail at a diet & exercise plan is because they strive to attain unrealistic goals, especially too quickly. It is very important to set a plan that is realistic, one that brings you right down a path to no more love handles one day. What you must stop doing if you are doing so is wasting time on magic answers because you are not going to find them. You can find some good diet programs out there but if they don't at the very least, recommend diet and exercise as part of the plan, they are not worth anything and you will only waste your time.

Get serious about losing your love handles or any other unwanted fat/weight and keeping it off forever. Remember, it's going to take some work but an organized effort and process that has a beginning, middle and what I like to refer to as maintenance mode (the end), will make it much easier for you to actually accomplish your goal.

It is important that you pay attention to your diet as well. If you fail to do so, you will need to work much harder at exercising in order to compensate for your neglected dietary plan. Remember, losing your love handles or any other unwanted weight on your body, is about having a simple plan, taking action and sticking with that plan, period. - 15255
