I've seen Total Cleanse advertised rather heavily lately on the internet so I decided to make it my next review. Unfortunately I don't have much good to report about Total Cleanse as a product or as company to purchase from. This brief synopsis of my full review of Total Cleanse will give you a glimpse of what this colon cleanser (doesn't) have to offer.
As always, the first thing that I look at are the ingredients that the product contains. Well I wish that I could give you a list of the ingredients in Total Cleanse, but aparently they can't either. Nowhere on their website did they state the ingredients aside from mentioning the importance consuming dietary fiber. Needless to say, this raises some eyebrows.
Moving on to a review of their business practices, I think it's important to note a few sales tactics that are a little less than ethical in my opinion. On their website they push you to take a free trial of the product. Take some caution here! If you get a free trial you also agree to receive monthly shipments from them of Total Cleanse. Basically you have 15 days to cancel this autoship program or you will see a charge on your credit card for $78.84.
First off all, this is way too expensive and second of all, it bothers me that they hide that information in fine print. If they made it so that every customer could easily see that that's what they are really doing when getting the free trial, then I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. But what bothers me is It appears they are trying to quickly get your credit card information and wait for you to not cancel so they can start racking up credit card with their sky high charges.
But it doesn't stop there. They're money back guarantee is anything but friendly. You have a mere 15 days from the time it ships to decide if you like it. If not, you have to call them and get a 'Return Merchandise Authorization.' And even if you do end up being able to return it, they charge you a 30% restocking fee. Ouch! I don't know about you, but this is looking like a classic scam to me.
But is it really as bad as the evidence makes it look like? Well, ComplaintsBoard.com has many filed complaints with hundreds of comments on each one complaining about them not being able to contact the company, being charged when they didn't know they would, and more. On top of that, the Better Business Bureau gave them an 'F' rating.
So to sum it all up, Total Cleanse is expensive, it doesn't have much of a guarantee, they use shady sales tactics, they have a myriad of complaints against them, and we don't what ingredients it contains. Total Cleanse is sure making it hard to recommend them. - 15255
