As a parent I've come to understand that my children's physical and mental development take top priority. Looking around and seeing the variety of useless garbage on the TV and internet, I'm beginning to see the need for activities that can fulfill my children's unending curiosity and energy. That's why I'm thankful for our Fisher Price Smart Cycle.
If the weather outside is frightful, don't worry the Smart Cycle is so delightful. My kids can still get their energy out without tearing the house apart. They can also feel good about achieving goals as they complete tasks and play the mini games on the Fisher Price Smart Cycle software. I can get a kid-free minute while my children are occupied racing or helping each other with the number or letter side games.
The Fisher Price Smart Cycle toys unfortunately do not provide the 4 "D" size batteries required to operate, so we opted to buy the T-2299 Universal Smart Fast Charger with 8 Tenergy D batteries. They can play with 4 of them for hours while the other 4 charge on charger.
Switching the game cartridges is simple enough for even the youngest toddler. My child feels so proud of himself when he can do it 'all by himself'. When he gets tired of one game all he has to do is pull out the cartridge and slip a new one into the Fisher Price Smart Cycle and off he goes on his next big adventure.
The Fisher Price Smart Cycle brings the attention grabbing effects of video arcades, so commonly found in malls, right to the comfort and safety of your living room. And because of the hardware/software plug-and-play capabilities, our Smart Cycle is ready to play when my children are. They love the fact that they can choose their own vehicles, and modify the models and colors and change the environments of the street courses. (You do have to buy the games separately)
Another wonderful feature about the Fisher Price Smart Cycle software is the "helper" who comes with each game and assists the player through the tough spots, or with the side games. Our Fisher Price Smart Cycle is the greatest!
I love the fact that unlike most children's toys the Fisher Price Smart Cycle adjusts to the growth of my kids. Not only does the seat rise up and down to adjust to my child's height, but the Fisher Price Smart Cycle software is designed for different ages. It is nice to know that once a cartridge has been played out, another is available to offer new challenges and the toy can grow right along with my kids.
When my toddler is tired of pedaling, the fun doesn't have to stop! There is a joystick right next to the handle bars that is used to play the side games! The Fisher Price Smart Cycle has many titles for software, but some that we have chosen are: Sponge Bob Square pants, Dora the Explorer, and Hot Wheels (great for racing!). These are sold individually, but are well worth it!
