Ways To Improve Your Muscle Gain

By Jason Storm

Some people spend hour after hour at the gym every week, trying and trying but still don't seem to gain much muscles. Other people gain a bit but not as fast as they could and wish to improve their technique.

There are many things you can do to get the most out of the time spent and in this article I will give you some guidance on how to work out in the best way for maximum results.

Some of the most common mistakes people do that lessen their results are: -Lifting weights that are too light -Using quantity before quality when it comes to amount of reps -Making each work out session too long -They are not giving the muscles enough rest after working out

So how heavy should the weights be then? For best results, you want the weights to be so heavy that you would not have been able to make even one more lift after your last rep. If you could make a few more, then lift heavier next time. This is to give the muscles most possible resistance which will trigger the body to produce more muscle tissue.

Doing to many reps is another mistake people do and it is often combined with the usage of light weights. For maximum results, do fewer reps. The number will vary slightly depending on which muscle group you are working but in general 3 sets X 6-8 reps will do it. You also want to make sure that the resting time between sets are less than 1 minute since this will be the most efficient way to work out. Short and intense is the key.

Don't do the mistake to spend long hours at the gym. This might, in worst case lead to damage to your muscles and will not make them grow. This is due to the fact that the energy you are using while working out should be from carbohydrates to most part and the supply in your body will last to the most 45 minutes while working out. After that, your body will have to use other energy supplies which include the protein in your muscles to be able to keep going. Working out too long might, as you can see, have the opposite effect to what you are wanting.

Finally, you want to make sure that you give your body a proper rest. Make sure that the muscles that you trained get around 48 hours of rest before you work them next time. Don't wait longer than that though since that will delay the building up process.

These few tricks are essential if you want you muscle to grow the most and the fastest. Make sure you keep up the good work and have your focus on your goals and you will be surprised as to how fast you can get the body you're dreaming of. - 15255
