Choosing The Best Wrinkle Cream For You

By Jen Hopkins

When it comes to wrinkle cream, there are plenty of companies claiming that they and they alone have the best wrinkle cream for you and your needs. But how do you sift through the noise and find a wrinkle cream that works for you?

Like any important purchase, you have to do your homework. First you need to know your skin. Is it oily or dry? Is there only a specific time of year when you struggle with fine lines? Maybe a good sun screen will solve your problem, and you don't need a wrinkle cream at all. Still, if you do need a wrinkle cream, at least you've begun the process of finding the best one for you.

Make sure you research the company before you try their products. Reputable big name brands are more trustworthy than small brands that may not have a sterling reputation, or even any reputation. You should never give your hard-earned cash away to someone youave never heard of, for a product that you donat know will work - no matter how bad your crows feet.

After you've done some homework and you've found a cream that looks promising, see if you can find a sample to try. Many of the well-known companies will be happy to give you a small sample to let you discover the benefits of their product for yourself. If a sample is not available, ask yourself another question What could that mean? Maybe they can't afford to give any away. Maybe they know their product doesn't work.

As with anything you buy, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. If the ads claim that this product will give you the smooth clear skin of a 16-year-old, it is not telling the truth. No matter what you do, wrinkles are a normal part of getting older, and there is a limit to what creams can do.

Compare all the different products youave found in the course of your research carefully. What factors matter to you? Are you willing to pay more for some products than others? How much are you willing to pay? Compare these products in terms of cost, ingredients, trustworthiness of the company, and the effectiveness that you found from your use of free trials. Find the product that best suits your needs, for the price with which you are most comfortable.

If you can, make an appointment with your dermatologist and ask for her recommendation. This doctor understands what your skin needs and how best to care for it. She can also help you understand those things and which product may be the best. Just remember, some dermatologists are paid to promote certain creams. So take the time to compare her suggestion to the research you've already done.

In choosing the best wrinkle cream, taking the time to do your homework may save you more than just money. You want to be careful about what you're putting on your face. The money you do pay for the cream is more than just money; it's an investment. You're investing in your youthful appearance, and you want to be sure the end result is worth the initial cost. - 15255
