How Long Must I Be on Diet?

By Ricardo d Argence

I want to lose weight fast but, how long should I diet? When it comes to dieting for weight loss, the same questions always seem to arise. For example, what should I eat, when should I eat or what diet should I go on. I will not only tell you how long to stay on a diet but also how the length of your diet affects your weight loss.

Does anyone know the real answer? The answer is to do it however long it takes to lose weight. While that may be the easy response, the fact is it's false. Most people plan on dieting on a short term basis and then revert back to their old eating habits. The hard work will just be useless if they go back to their old eating habits..this is the only problem.

The true answer is: make a healthy diet a new habit, where you do it for life. You, see a diet shouldn't be a temporary fix. It should be a lifestyle change.

This common error is usually the cause of post dieters gaining more weight than they lost.

After loosing weight is necessary to follow a similar, if not quite as restricted, diet for the rest of your life if you want to maintain your weight loss. It's the end to dipping into the cookie jar anytime you feel the craving.

The post dieter's daily diet must contain the amount of energy necessary to support the leaner shape. If calories are in excess, that excess gets stored within the fat cells which in turn adds pounds to the weight scales.

The main reason you are overweight to start with are your unhealthy eating habits. Don't ruin your accomplistments by going back an doing the same thing over.

Once you have lost the weight you will need to patiently monitor yourself in order to maintain a healthy body.
